(Text: From the web site of Religious Technology Center)
“David Miscavige is Chairman of the Board of Religious Technology Center (RTC), a non-profit organization formed in 1982 to preserve, maintain and protect the Scientology religion.
“RTC holds the ultimate ecclesiastical authority regarding the standard and pure application of L. Ron Hubbard’s religious technologies. Religious Technology Center is not part of the management structure of the Church, nor is it involved in the Church’s day-to-day affairs.
“The Chairman of the Board is the most senior office in RTC, and one for which David Miscavige is uniquely qualified>>

Two of the most famous Scientologists, John Travolta and Kelley Preston are the best. I’ve met them both at Celebrity Center and saw Kelley at a Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) benefit dinner they are so not impressed with themselves.
There was some real garbage in the media recently, after their son’s death, that John was distancing himself from Scientology. I personally think it is such a disservice to people like John that they have to be on their best behavior even when they are mourning. No expects this of anyone else. I suppose if he’d gone out the MacDonalds’ that would have proven that hamburgers are part of his ritual for the handling of personal loss.

Thought I’d share this photo. Lovely couple and from everything I’ve heard, very down-to-Earth, genuine people.
The “Scientology bashers” give them more than their fair share of abuse. But I guess when you turn on the limelight the insects and vermin can’t resist it.

East Grinstead has never seen the likes of it. More than 6,500 Scientologists all gathered together at the same time in the same place in a huge tent outside Saint Hill Manor, to hear David Miscavige tell the story of how the Church overcame all odds to arrive where it is today.
Inspiring!

From the sounds of it, the Charity Concert this year was really special:

“Academy Award nominated actress Anne Archer, presented cheques amounting to £50,000 to several different local charities on behalf of the L. Ron Hubbard Foundation and the Church of Scientology at the annual Gala Charity Concert on Sunday, October 18th at Saint Hill, East Grinstead.”
This was right after the 25th Anniversary Event of the International Association of Scientologists. David Miscavige hosted. Can’t wait to see it on Saturday in LA.>>

I now have an unassailable good natured and cheerful certainty in myself. A quiet confidence that nothing can really trouble me for more than a short time because I know that I will quickly find a solution. I find that that certainty and self-confidence play themselves out in my life.>>

A Santa Barbara Scientist discovered a new galaxy.
“Dubbed SDSSJ0737+3216, the just discovered galaxy is 100 times lighter than our own Milky Way and is the smallest galaxy ever identified at that distance. It is about half the size and approximately one-tenth the “weight” of typical small galaxies found closer to Earth. ” >>More
I’ve hear people refer to Scientology a “UFO” or science fiction religion, inferring something odd, and criticizing us with a statement that we believe in “aliens.”
With all the billions upon billions of stars, don’t you think it’s arrogant to think we are the only sentient species in this whole universe?

I was thinking today how hard it is when someone is in conflict with their family.
It sometimes seems to be a “natural” part of growing up (at least in our times and in the West) for adolescents and teens to feel constricted by their families.
It’s almost a cliche that youth has the enthusiasm and will to do and age has the wisdom but has lost the drive to execute.
And it can be so hard on young people to find their enthusiasm reined in by “practical” parents who are perhaps a bit too worried about what will happen if…
On of my favorite parts of The Way to Happiness is the section “Love and Help Children.”

It seems I was just looking forward to Christmas and found myself at the end of January.
Sometimes I feel like Rip Van Winkle.
Anyway, Christmas and New Years were great. Got an IPod for Christmas, which I adore.
New Years was totally inspirational. Watching the Scientology New Years Event, getting to get the latest dope from David Miscavige and other Scientology leaders, having Mr. Miscavige lay it on the line as to where our civilization is at and where it’s headed, and the treat of seeing the newest ideal Scientology churches (Church of Scientology of London and Church of Scientology of Berlin) that was such a treat!
I am always inspired to do more when I hear David Miscavige. What a great leader he is. Absolutely energized and such a dynamic person!
